This year’s funds will be used to purchase additional Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for the Parish and School Campus, along with other projects that help keep everyone healthy and safe.
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use device that can help save lives during sudden cardiac arrest. When used within the first few minutes, an AED can dramatically increase the chance of survival.
Currently, there are two AEDs on our Parish and School Campus—one in the Church Worship Area and another on the main floor of the school. A key goal this year is to ensure that an AED can be reached and deployed quickly from anywhere on the Our Lady of the Lake Parish and School Campus in the event of a cardiac emergency.
With more AEDs, we can better protect our staff, parishioners, and students—because every minute counts when it comes to the heart.
