TRUTH MATTERS
A Seminar on Seeking, Discovering, Interpreting, Articulating, and Abiding in Truth
Facilitated by Fr. Joe Fortuna
In contemporary society, our relationship to truth is undergoing significant transformation. The internet, social media, political discourse, and artificial intelligence are just a few means through which this transformation is taking place. The results of this are still unfolding, but one that already confronts us is the increased uncertainty and anxiety about who we are and how we relate to others in our world. This seminar explores ways to address this uncertainty and anxiety by examining matters pertinent to seeking, discovering, interpreting, articulating, and abiding in truth.
Evenings include prayer, presentation, conversation, reflection, and refreshments.

Why Identifying and Overcoming Obstacles to Truth Matters
There are multiple and significant obstacles to seeking, discovering, interpreting, articulating, and abiding in truth. Some are obvious (i.e. misinformation, lies), but others less so (i.e. fear, hubris, ideology). Humble and courageous attentiveness to these obstacles can assist us in our quest for living in truth.
