The death of a loved one is one of the most important events in the life of a family. Despite the pain of loss, it can also be a time to experience the love and care of the Christian community and the consolation and hope inspired by the funeral liturgy. In order to help make this happen, please contact the funeral home so that arrangements can be coordinated with Fr. Joe as soon as possible.
Whenever possible, Fr. Joe will meet with family members before the wake to learn about the deceased, their families and their situation. This conversation will also help to acquaint the family members with the options they have for celebrating the funeral liturgies: the wake at the funeral home, the funeral liturgy at the church, and the committal. (Please note that this conversation and planning can actually take place before your loved one dies, and could even include them if they are willing and able.)
